Ekko Greenbaum

Co-founder/director of eni artist collective.

Ekko is a dancer and choreographer currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance from the Boston Conservatory, graduating first-generation and as the Julie Ince Thompson Award Scholar.

eni artist collective is the shared vision of nicholas la maina and ekko greenbaum, intended to support artists who express a necessity for movement and its adjacent arts. a dance company for emerging choreographers, dancers, and their collaborators to reintegrate movement into society, wholly and truthfully. eni artists will be supported through residency opportunities, performances, weekly class, and a strong community.

we developed eni after years of artistic collaboration and conversations. initially inspired by our shared love for movement, then by the like-minded artists along our paths, eni aims to establish a creative anchor and springboard to uplift those with an artistic sensitivity that is undeniable, palpable, and honest.

eni, beginning as a dance collective, looks forward to reestablishing movement as an accessible art. through dance experiences functioning as social spaces, we extend an invitation to thought-provoking work without pretension. these environments reactivate the senses that have become increasingly dulled by the conditions of our world. bringing people back into their bodies, back to each other.

our inaugural performance will take place april 18th & 19th in brooklyn, new york. our first presentation marks the beginning of a journey to define ourselves as a company and to share our vision.
